UF & Miami did pretty good in the 2022 form considering they were "transition" classes. What was FSU doing? I didn't realize their class was that bad for it being Norvell's 3rd form. I think it has been said on here a few times already but it looks similar Napier and Cristobal are going to add to Norvell'due south issues.

This is what I have been saying, when your 3rd class can't beat ii transition classes thats a problem

that said, Mario is going to exist a headache for all of us

Yes he was terrible at FIU and IMO but had 1 good twelvemonth at Oregon in a bad PAC-12 conference with USC as well being down.

Bad motorbus, will be a pain on the trail merely not sure how long he makes it so we but demand to exist solid the next few years.

norvell is a clown, scares no one

Bad jitney, volition be a pain on the trail but not sure how long he makes information technology so we only need to be solid the next few years.

norvell is a clown, scares no one

Norvell lost to Greg Knox. Plenty said. Lord knows how long FSU's steak of losing seasons will terminal.

Norvell lost to Greg Knox. Plenty said. Lord knows how long FSU'southward steak of losing seasons will last.

In today'southward game, to have two in-state schools hire coaches with literally weeks to recruit a "transition" class and have your year 3 class finish behind them is a sign of very bad things to come

That is the quickest way to be downward and stay there a long time

I love clowning on F$U. I was in prime while they were in theirs during the Bobby era. I'chiliad from and nonetheless have family in the panhandle. I take no love loss for them and no empathy when they suck. Honestly the aforementioned goes for Miami because they are the biggest jackasses when they are skilful.

Still FSU...and even Miami sucking isn't going to do much for us.

It'south the Bama's, Clemson's, UGA'south, and occasionally Auburn's, LSU's that are keeping the states down. Well that and the fact nosotros've had a run of hiring inept coaches. They are the teams winning conference and national titles. They are getting the quality recruits from the south besides as carmine picking FL plus getting their share of national guys.

Here is a link to the 247 Sports Summit 50 2022 recruits from the land of Florida and where they signed. Napier has his piece of work cut out for him in getting UF where it needs to exist in recruiting our ain back yard. Jimbo got the #1 & #2 players, Georgia got iv of the Top 10, Bama got 2 of the Summit 10, Florida and FSU got 1 each. The just other of the Summit 50 we signed were #29, #36 & #49. Gotta do much better than that.

Jimbo got the #1 & #2 players, Georgia got 4 of the Top 10, Bama got 2 of the Pinnacle x, Florida and FSU got 1 each. The but other of the Height 50 we signed were #29, #36 & #49. To snag as many every bit we did with a coaching change is not bad. It will become better.

And it seems some people forget that when Napier took over, we basically had 7 commitments (I think nosotros had a few more than simply they jumped ship correct as he was hired because they were coming here solely for Mullen).

Nosotros were ranked 77th. And in the end we finished with a pretty adept class and nosotros're in information technology down to the end with a lot of top guys that we only had no business having a shot at.

I didn't really count but scrolling through that list it look like Indi Freaking Ana had equally many of shut to equally many equally UF did in the top 35.

I'm sure that will change but that can't e'er happen ever again. E'er.

No knock on Napier considering that's not his error but next year and on our, that need to never happen.

It'due south non going to be on Napier and facilities at present that nosotros corrected that. Information technology'south all NIL now for the very top recruits

Then why are we paying Billy and his ground forces?

save the money for NIL?

  • #36

The State of Florida was proactive in Zippo, the Florida bill is really pretty good and should have been a template for other states, but some of the other states either didn't accost information technology (NIL) at all or made their bill more advantageous to their universities than the Florida bill.
We need a Federal police that applies in all states, or we need the NCAA to footstep up (hahaha) and come out with a dominion that applies to all NCAA schools nationwide.
NIL was not intended to be a recruiting benefit, it is supposed to apply to educatee-athletes already enrolled.
This is going to accident-up because you tin't be giving loads of money to incoming recruits and ignore the players already on your rosters, as they will deserve the same or more.

You are well-nigh certainly correct.
